The essential products you need to ensure effective, squeak free braking when fitting your new brake pads and discs.

This kit consists of:

Brake Cleaner: This should be used to clean inside the caliper when the pads are removed to ensure the pad has clean contact with the caliper, otherwise you can get brake squeal.
Also when fitting new discs it should be used to clean off the oil / cutting fluid off the new discs.

500ml of Dot 4 Brake Fluid: It is recommended to change your brake fluid every 2 years or 30,000 mile.
Also when fitting new pads and discs you may need to top the fluid up.
This is a synthetic brake fluid which exceeds FMVSS116 DOT3, DOT4 and S.A.E J 1703 which can safely be mixed with other brake fluids conforming to these specifications.

Copper Grease: This should be used on the back of new brake pads when fitted into the caliper this acts as a shim and helps keep the pad in contact with the caliper to eliminate brake squeal.
